To start off, there are my parents, Russ and Marg Shive, who live here in York, Pa. Russ is my step-dad, but you'd never know it. None of those step-parent horror stories.He's just been "Dad" to me since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, and I couldn't have asked for a better one. Good job, Mom! He and Mom celebrated their Golden wedding anniversary June 5, 1998. Dad is a veteran of the Second World War, having served with the 1st Cav. Division, in the Pacific as a 1st Sgt. He is now retired from York Wallcoverings where he was V.P. Mom worked as a waitress for a number of years, but was in the main, a housewife, a great cook and a fantastic MOM .

I have two brothers, Russ II (Rusty) and Mike. Rusty is President of the Dover Township Fire Dept., here in Pa., and Mike is a V.P. with Axisus out in Calif. The above picture of the family was taken the latter part of 1996 at Mike and Maureen's wedding in Yosemite Nat'l. Park, California. Maureen is a welcome addition to our family. The only way we can get beauty into our family is marry into it, and then hope the kids look like their Mom. (Other then my Mom, of course, who is already a beauty!) I was beginning to think Mike would never get married. Maureen is the best thing that's ever happened to him. (Sides having ME for a brother. LOL) My daughter Tonja went out to the west coast to attend the wedding, then returned in time for her own wedding in 1997. As you can see, at 6'2" and 185 pounds, I am the runt among my brothers. But, they have to respect their elders and betters. (LOL) I gotta admit...Rusty has shown a little sense.....he's still single. :-)) No offense ladies!
